I wanted to put the spider logo on the face rather than the chest because I think that its cool, intimidating, and is reminiscent of the Darth Maul/Rorschach facial patterns.
The whispy spider web strings hanging from his arms are left over web collected around the web shooters from so much web slingin around the city. They might give off cool looking trails as Spiderman is flipping around and kicking criminals asses.
